Biology Fieldwork at Xrobb l-Għaġin
Mar 2, 2024
On Thursday, 29th February our Year 10 Biology students went for a fieldwork visit to Xrobb l-Għaġin Nature Park. The students appreciated the biodiversity and use of sustainable energy found in this park. They had the opportunity to observe different habitats like ‘xagħri’, ‘steppa’ u ‘makkja’. With the help of quadrats, they identified a large variety of plants found on the Maltese islands while they discussed how these plants adapt themselves to the dry climate of Malta.
We thank Ms Maria Caruana, our Biology teacher for organising this fieldwork and Mr Matthew Borg for accompanying her with this group of students.
