In 1994 Bishop Alessandro was shot and seriously injured during his way back home to Garissa, Kenya. Bishop Alessandro together with Sig Gerardo Monopoli, ex-policeman from Campania led a cineforum addressed to our Year 10 students. Together they spoke about Don Peppe Diana who was killed 29 years ago by the Napolitan Mafia (Camorra). Don Diana’s message is one of justice, hope and Christian love. This message was transmitted by Sig Gerardo who spent two years with Don Peppe at the Naples Seminary. Our students truly appreciated this message. At the end of the meeting we presented Bishop Alessandro with the books “Knisja u Mafja” and “L-Iskola St Michael, l-Għaxqa ta’ San Ġorġ Preca” both books written by Mr Aloisio.
