SMID St Michael ID – New Electronic Attandace System

On Friday, 1st March we started recording the students’ attendance with an electronic card (SMID St Michael ID). Every student was given a card which he must scan when he arrives at school. The attendance is registered immediately in the school website. The system records the day and time when the student arrives at school enabling the parents to see the time their son entered school. If a student fails to attend school, at 08:30 the system shall automatically send an email to inform the parents of the students concerned.
This same card shall also be used to borrow books, pay handouts, and transport and buy from the tuckshop. The parents shall have a record of all the payments affected by card.
