We have recently received a receipt of €770 from the Don Bosco Foundation, for a donation we had made for the Salesians who are working in Aleppo, Syria.
Aleppo is the city who suffered most during the earthquake which occurred last February. In Aleppo, the Salesians have schools who first, suffered during the persecution from the ISIS and now with damage caused by the earthquake.
As a school, our policy is that we do not collect money, but in this circumstance we thought it would be a good deed to donate the profits collected from hot dogs sold during Sports Day to the Salesians in Aleppo. Our Year 10 students offered this donation to Fr Jake SDB when we visited the Don Bosco Oratory in Dingli for lenten spiritual exercises.
We would like to thank all members of staff who prepared and sold the hot dogs.
