On May 9th, we celebrate the feast of the Founder of SDC, St. George Preca. It was a completely different day at school. We started the day by celebrating Mass together, which was led by Fr. Mark Ellul, the delegate of the Archbishop for the local Church schools. Afterwards, all the students participated in various activities throughout the entire school day. The activities ranged from firefighting and policing to sailing, rugby, Aikido, kickboxing, kite making, ghost stories and legends, cooking, board games, photo hunts, scavenger hunts, and much more. As we traditionally do during the PrecaFest, a generous portion of Timpana was provided to all students, staff members, and guests.
Let us ask St. George Preca to continue to bless our school, which was so dear to his heart. We ask him to bless the students and all the staff of our community. We also ask him to guide the new Pope, Pope Leo XIV, in leading the Church according to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We wish everyone a Happy Feast! VIVA SAN ĠORĠ PRECA!
