This morning at school we welcomed Caritas Malta who kick started the beginning of their campaign for this scholastic year with children and youths. This year’s theme is ‘Live life naturally high’.
For this occasion, the students were asked to make from recycled materials a musical instrument at home. During this celebration they then joined the three Caritas social workers who animated this event with Djembe Drums. The atmosphere in the school hall was euphoric and the students were full of enthusiasm as they joined in the music with their instruments.
Our students were later addressed by Ms Anna Micallef, Prevention Officer and by Dr Anthony Gatt, Caritas director. A promo video was shown to the students and the headmaster urged the students to live their life in a creative, natural way without spending a lot of time with laptops and mobile phones. He invited them to attend youth groups and practice sports and live a happy, simple life.
We would like to thank Caritas for their dedicated work in the community and for choosing our school for this special event. Thanks to Mr Johann Tabone who co-ordinated this celebration with Caritas and Mr Calleja for taking care of the sound system.
